Robert (Bob) Arthur Zinke

Robert (Bob) Arthur Zinke died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the age of 86, in Auborn, Maine, surrounded with loved ones by his side. He was born in Brookfield, the son of Authur and Helen Zinke.


Bob is survived by his daughters, Angela Diehn of Venice, Fla., Laurie (Rick) Sturgeon of Waukesha, Jodi (Jeff) Klinger of West Allis, and Susan Giffin of Yarmouth, Maine; his sister, Edna Warnes; his sister-in-law, Ethel Clough; and brother-in-law, Tom Nettesheim; his stepsons, Dave Koehler, Roger (Julie) Koehler and Brian (Gail) Koehler; grandchildren, Jennifer Diehn (fiancé Wayne Hickok), Brandon Diehn (fiancée Stephanie Miller), Russell (Sarah) Klinger, Sandra (John) Kendl, Ashley Poenitzsch (fiancé Dan Strong) and Ricky Giffin III; and his great-grandchildren, Domingo Jean, Cami Todd, Ethan Schwarten and another on the way.


Bob was preceded in death by Marion H. (nee Nettesheim), his first wife; Hazel (nee Koehler), his second wife; his parents; a sister, Eleanor; and other relatives.


Bob worked on his parents farm and his own farm. He worked at TV John and Sons, Don Mierow Builders and Bielinski Bros., and Trademark Homes in Florida.


He owned his own business, Z-M Builders.  He enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and  was an avid Packers and Badgers football fan.


Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at St. Mary's Church in Waukesha, with a Mass following.
