William G. ‘Bill’ Schroeder Jr.

 

July 18, 1937 - Dec. 1, 2012

 

 

William G. “Bill” Schroeder Jr. of Waukesha, recently of Mesa, Ariz., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the age of 75. Bill was born July 18, 1937, in Waukesha, the son of William and Esther Schroeder Sr.

 

He married the love of his life, Arlene (nee Zimmerman), on Aug. 17, 1957.

 

Bill attended Waukesha High School. He started his career in the building supply industry at Wilbur Lumber, worked at Western Building Products and Home Supply. Bill enjoyed wintering in Mesa. He was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed sailing, golf and parachuting and most of all, loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

 

Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Arlene; his children, David (Carol) Schroeder and John (Donna) Schroeder; grandchildren, Ben, Katie, Nick, Tyler, Maggie and Mitch; and brother, John A. “Jack” Schroeder. He is further survived by sister-in-law, Jean Anderson; nephew, Ken (Julie) Ebert; great-niece, Rycki; and other relatives and friends.

 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Visitation for Bill will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation for Bill will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Dec. 6, at Faith Baptist Church, 3250 Summit Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Doug Richards will be officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
