Ward M. Rostagno

 

Ward M. Rostagno, 73, of Waukesha, found eternal peace on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012.

 

He was the loving husband and best friend of Karen (nee Jochims) for 48 years.  He was the beloved father of Gina (Jeff) Wallat, Anthony (Jacie) Rostagno and the late Nicholas Rostagno; proud grandfather of Jack and Catherine Wallat and Isabelle and Matteo Rostagno. He is also survived by his brother, William (Lillian) Rostagno; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and many friends.

 

Ward was a lifelong resident of Waukesha. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion Post #8.  Ward retired from the city of Waukesha Police Department, as an inspector of police, after 28 years of service.  He was also a retiree from Waukesha Memorial Hospital as their head of security.

 

He was a dedicated member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, and enjoyed boating, golfing, hunting and travel.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Church and Chapel Larsen Brothers Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (four blocks south of Interstate 94 on Highway J at the corner of Highway JJ), Waukesha. Visitation will again be held on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. Services will begin at 2 p.m.

 

Private burial will be at Highland Memorial Park at a later date.

 

Memorial contributions to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church or the Waukesha Police Department appreciated.
