Janet M. ‘Ms. Doolittle’ Zess

Janet M. “Ms. Doolittle” Zess of Pewaukee died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012. She talked to animals.

Janet was the devoted friend of her Siamese cat, Angel, and a dear friend of Susan Acker, Ron and Ann Kobiske, John Koepp and Werner and Sharon Scherr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Zess and Margaret Zess Miller.
Janet was a lover of life, a “community activist” and enjoyed the serenity and peace of the animals that God created. The deer and the turkeys will also miss her.

She was a member of LaBelle Chapter No. 40 Order of the Eastern Star, a past president of the Women’s Club of Pewaukee, a member of the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha, the Wildlife In Need Center and the Kiwanis Club, a past president of the Pewaukee Garden Club and a retiree of Daimler Chrysler.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Fox River Congregational Church, N34-W23575 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee. A private interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
