Donald N. ĎDoní Savina

Donald N. "Don" Savina of Mukwonago went home to his lord and savior Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the age of 79 from a long battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 20, 1932, in Cumberland, the son of the late Clement and Mary Savina.
Don married Shirley Bleuer on July 31, 1964, in Mukwonago. He worked for Milwaukee Tool & Equipment and Deltrol Controls up until his retirement in 1969. Don served his country in the U.S. Army.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Savina. He was the proud grandfather of Laura and Valerie Jaskiewicz and son-in-law Carl Jaskiewcz of East Troy; loving brother of Dorothy (LeRoy) Ellertson of Caledonia, Clem Savina of Minnesota, Dolores (Robert) Fuller of Rockford, Ill., and Diane Craine of Cumberland; and brother-In-law of Carol Pedersen of Mukwonago, Doris (William) Pieper of Elcho and Jeannie Savina of Cumberland. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Gale Jaskiewicz; sister, Gloria Savina; brother, Joe Savina; brothers-in law, Tom Craine and Richard Pedersen; and a sister-in-law, Faye Savina.
Don loved to go to the casino, travelling, woodworking, visiting with friends, assisting with St. Johnís lunch program and cutting grass. He was an avid Packers fan.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Feb. 8, at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church, 410 Highway NN West, Mukwonago. The Rev. Kieth Kuschel will officiate. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Johnís Building Fund.
