Lee Schmidt, 65, of the Town of Concord, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012. He was born Aug. 30, 1946, to Leo and Dorothy Schmidt.
He married Mary Werning on July 9, 1977. Lee was a lifelong resident of Concord, living on the family farm. He was an employee of Lake Country Foods (formerly Carnation) for 46 years. He was a member of the Concord Cemetery Association as caretaker of the grounds for many years. Lee was a member of VFW Post 2260 in Oconomowoc and a true patriot. He was a graduate of the Watertown High School Class of 1964 and a member of Pipeline to Jesus Church in New Berlin.
Lee is survived by his wife, Mary; stepsons, the Rev. Daniel (Debbie) Schwerin and Dr. Michael (Alicia) Schwerin; and his dear sister, Mary (Dan) Dettmann. He is further survived by his step grandchildren, Rachel (Alberto) Schwerin Pelecastre, Andrew Schwerin, Riley, Braeden and Tate Schwerin; and his faithful, fury friend, Madge.

Friends may visit from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Friday, Feb. 24, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc. His final rest will be in Summit Cemetery.
