Irene Weston (nee Remmick)
Irene Weston (nee Remmick), 87, of Hartland, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Robert) Barforth; daughter-in-law, Maribeth Bush; two brothers, Les (Mary) Remmick and Ervin Remmick; and a sister, Orlean Timmen. She was the cherished grandma of Ashley and Brian Barforth, Rob (Katie) Bush and Jim Bush, Michael (Penny) Bush and Eli (Lisa) Bliffert; great-grandma to Lydia Ann Bush, Malachi and Noah Bush and Devon and Sophia Bliffert; and special aunt to Dennis and Margie Decker. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Weston; her parents, Jacob and Magdelina Remmick; her two beloved sons, Keith and Jerry Bush; along with many brothers and sisters.
Irene was a longtime resident of the Lake Country area, where she was a homemaker and later worked for many years as the caretaker at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Delafield. She also volunteered in the health room at Cushing Elementary School and was a Sunday school teacher at Christ the King, where she was also involved in the quilting group for the missions. In her later years, she was a resident of Hartland Meadows, where she had many friends and spent countless hours working on jigsaw puzzles with her friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the noon memorial service Saturday, Feb. 25, at
Christ the King Lutheran Church in Delafield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Irene’s name to Christ the King Lutheran Church.
