Eleanor Wrobel Morse

July 31, 1911 - Feb. 25, 2012

Eleanor Wrobel Morse, 100, of South Bend, Ind., passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Sanctuary at Holy Cross.

Eleanor was born on July 31, 1911, in South Bend, to Walter and Agnes (nee Jacoboski) Wrobel.

In 1947, she married Joseph T. Morse. Joseph preceded her in death in 2008.

Her daughter, Mary J. Bohren and her husband, the Honorable Michael O. Bohren of Delafield, survive Eleanor along with two granddaughters, Juliana R. Bohren of Waukesha and Katherine E. (Jeremy Smith) Bohren of Portland, Ore. Her sister, Sister M. Danielita C.S.C, preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and the the Christ Child Society. She graduated from Central High School in 1930 and she worked for Standard Oil, Manpower and Mutual of Omaha Insurance.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, March 1, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka. Monsignor Bruce Piechocki will officiate the services with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery at Notre Dame.
