Edward M. "Ted" Hughes of Waukesha died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at age 81. He was born July 26, 1930, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Wilfred E. and Louila J. (nee Mason) Hughes.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha June; his parents; a sister, Phyllis; and a brother, William.

He was the loving father of Barbara Lynn (Calvin) Anderson of Waukesha, Karen Ann Hughes of New Orleans and Gregory Alan (Lisa) Hughes of Oshkosh. He will also by missed by his grandchildren, Justin Anderson and Adam Hughes, as well as other relatives and friends, here and in Canada.

Ted was a retiree of International Truck and Engine Corp.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Saturday, Jan. 7, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Ted will be laid to rest next to his wife at Prairie Home Cemetery.
