Jeronimo ‘Jerry’ Colon Sept. 28, 1928 - Jan. 5, 2012
He was preceded in death by his wife, Manuela. He was the loving father of Paula (Carlos) Sanchez, Luz Colon, Nancy (Hector) Mojica and Carrie (Lenny) Curry; beloved grandfather of Joshua (Carley), Erik (Kissie), Evy (Geri), Jonellie (Ahmed), Maya, Alex, Yari (Matt) and Jonathan (Kristi); and dear brother of Victor, Ramon, Julio, Maria, Neida, Nilda and Carmen Ana. He is also lovingly survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove (meet at cemetery office). Jerry served in the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and many other metals. A special thanks to Odyssey Hospice for all the loving care given to Jerry.
