Marilyn Zachow (formerly Uphill) found eternal peace Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the age of 83.
She was the loving mother of Stephen, Ron (Penny) and Phil (Angel) Uphill and stepmother of Robert (Sara), David (Kim) Zachow and Cari (Chris) John. She is further survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, and sister, Alice.
Marilyn was an avid published poet. Marilyn and her sister, Alice, made the best pie crust. She was a great cook – the best down-home cooking one could ever have had. Marilyn loved angels and had a huge collection.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin. A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at 7 p.m.
