WAUKESHA

Linda Susan Johns

May 26, 1955 – July 7, 2012

Linda Susan Johns of Waukesha died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 57, with her dearest friend Katy Furrer at her side.
In addition to Katy and many other friends, Linda is survived by her immediate family: parents, Fred and Barbara Johns, and her brother, Bob (Carolyn) Johns, all of Amherst Junction. She is further survived by her aunts, Valerie (Andy) Olson of Fredonia, Marilee Henneberry of Muskego and Lee Ann (Dean) Brunn of Leavenworth, Ind.; uncle, Robert (Rita) Klingbyll of Genesee Depot; nephews, Ethan Hotz of Harper’s Ferry, W.Va., and William (Kelly) Hess of Waukesha; niece, Denise (Donald) Sackmann of Richland Center; greatnephews, Daniel, Mike and Drew Sackmann and Thomas Hess; great-nieces, Kathlyn (Mike) Luksetich and Abigail Hess; great-great niece, Anne Luksetich; as well as numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Beth Hotz.

Linda held a variety of jobs in her earlier life and then worked in housekeeping at River Hills West Healthcare Center in Pewaukee for 28 years. She had many hobbies throughout her life – as she liked to say, she “belly-danced through the 1980s and into the ’90’s!” She also enjoyed creative writing, floral design, reading and watching her favorite soap operas. Linda took great pleasure in helping to plan liturgies for her church, the Community of the Living Spirit, and enjoyed as well her role as representative from her church to SOPHIA.

Friends and family would like to thank hospice staff at Waukesha Springs and Seasons Hospice for their great kindness and care for Linda in her last six months of life. Special thanks are extended to Ashley, Kelly and Miriam.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held from 11 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service Sunday, July 22, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community of the Living Spirit or to Stillwaters Cancer Support Services would be much appreciated.

Church and Chapel Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home is serving the family. For more information, call 549-0659 or visit www.churchandchapel.com to view the online obituary, leave condolences or receive directions.
