Cathleen (Cathy Weston) Meyer, 54, formerly from Watertown, died unexpectedly in her home in Federal Way, Wash. Cathleen Ann Meyer was born Nov. 13, 1957, in Waukesha, to Carole Ann (Jehowski) and Robert G. Weston.

 

She married Gerald Meyer from Rockford, Ill., and had a son, Christopher, in 1989. Cathy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor's degree in social work. She worked at Echo Glenn Children's Center for the state of Washington and at the Racine Correctional Institution for the state of Wisconsin. She was very proud of her father's prize-winning cattle and loved seeing them at the Wisconsin State Fair. Cathy was a very caring person with a free spirit. She loved traveling and meeting new people. She was very outgoing and eager to talk and learn from people. With all the places she traveled to, her heart was in Seattle, which is where she resided.

 

Survivors are her son, Christopher Meyer from Milwaukee; brother, Gerald Weston from Watertown; sister, Susan (Jack) Castellion from Winter Park, Colo.; mother, Carole Weston from Waukesha; grandmother, Irene Jehowski from Pewaukee; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and her little dog, Buddy, who lit up her eyes.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Weston; sister, Mary Ganley; grandfather (Papa), Peter Jehowski; and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Elizabeth Weston and Gerald Meyer.

 

She will be dearly missed.

 

Private services will be held in Seattle with family and friends, and another service will be held at a later date in Watertown in honor of Cathy and her sister, Mary from Michigan, whom recently passed away.
