Anita A.E. Miller

Anita A.E. Miller, 93, a longtime resident of Summit, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 on the homestead of the eighthgeneration farm on Golden Lake, which she dearly loved. Anita was born Nov. 11, 1918, in the Town of Ixonia, to Fred Ruhs and Helena (nee Bliesner).

She married Alvin F. Miller on April 15,1939. Together they owned and operated Miller’s Sandy Beach and Drive In.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (John) Rauen; grandchildren, Ann (Rob) Waite and Dan (Julie) Rollefson; and great-grandchildren, Nicole (Kyle) McAtee, Claude Rollefson and Madelyn, Rachel and Grace Hershberg. She was the fond sister of Leona Christopherson; sister-inlaw of Arline Ruhs; and cousin of Lester Bliesner and Lula Mae Gutherie. She is also survived by eight godchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; two sisters, Meta and Irene; and two brothers, Herbert and Gerhardt.

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the noon services Saturday, June 2, at Dr. Martin Luther Church, 325 S. Main St., Oconomowoc. Her final rest will be at Summit Cemetery.
