PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA. Edith Harris Pope King April 30, 1933 – June 13, 2012 Edith Harris Pope King of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012, after a long illness. She was born April 30, 1933, to George and Mabel (Kilpatrick) Harris. Edith graduated from Waukesha High School in 1951 and worked as a secretary at the former Moor Mud Baths and later as an accounting clerk for Johnson Hill. She married Jim Pope of Waukesha in 1953 and they had three children: the late Patty and Peter (Sandra), and Jennifer, who survive her. Edith divorced and moved to Florida, where she was the office manager of a large law firm. She later met and married Jerry King, who survives her. Further survivors are three grandchildren, Ashley, Peter and Kristopher; two great-grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters, George, Virginia, Jean, James, JoAnn, Bruce, Nan and Richard. Private burial was held in Florida.
