Robert B. Riesner Sr.

May 29, 1922 – March 1, 2012

Robert “Bob” Riesner was born in Riesa, Germany, on May 29, 1922, the son of Carl and Edda Riesner. He died Thursday, March 1, 2012.

Robert was the husband of the late Juliane (Lea) Riesner, his loving wife of 67 years.
Bob lead an amazing life of happiness and tragedy during his early years before and during World War II in Germany. Bob then immigrated to Milwaukee with his wife and young daughter in 1950. He had three more children and moved to Waukesha in 1958.

Bob worked in construction all his life. He enjoyed the challenge and all of the people he worked with. He retired in 1987 as president of J.P. Jansen Co. Bob especially loved to travel the U.S., Mexico and the world with his wife and family. His humor, compassion and generosity will truly be missed by all.

Robert was the loving father “Pop” of Carol (Cliff) Carlson, Barb (Ken) Knoebel, Mike (Gail) Riesner and Lorraine Riesner-St. Louis of Florida; beloved opa to Jim Carlson, Amanda (Ali) Kahn, Laura (Jason) Menting, Jeanna Riesner and Jenell Riesner; and great-opa of Miguel and Laila.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved son Robert B. Riesner Jr.
