Dec. 2, 1924 - March 4, 2012

Elaine Rita Rockley (nee Konicke), 87, passed on to eternal life Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Clare Bridge Alzheimerís and Dementia Care in Brookfield.

Elaine was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Milwaukee. She was a daughter of Edward and Mary Konicke.

Elaine grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and as a young woman, worked for the Heil Co. She married Donald J. Rockley on May 28, 1949, at St. Stephenís Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They were deeply devoted to each other, and their love overcame any and all challenges they faced in life. Elaine truly missed Don when he died March 3, 2007.

Over the years, Elaine and Don lived in Milwaukee, New Berlin, Waukesha and Pewaukee. She spent her final years at Clare Bridge. Elaine and Don were longtime members of St. Williamís Catholic Church in Waukesha.

Elaine will be remembered most as a loving wife and devoted mother, whose religious faith sustained her through the years. Her most treasured times were times spent with her family and times spent in prayer to our loving God.

Elaine will be sadly missed by her three sons, James of Waukesha, Jan (Marilee) of West Allis and Jeffrey (Becky) of East Troy. She is also survived by her grandsons, Jeffreyís and Beckyís son, Matthew, and Janís and Marileeís sons, Joshua, Joel and Jason. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and siblings, Edward Jr., who died as a child, Earl (Nelsine "Bette"), Lorraine (Kenneth Bishop and later Don Semrad) and Ruth (Robert) Jacobs.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 7, at St. Williamís Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m at St. Adalbertís Cemetery, 3801 S. Sixth St., Milwaukee (meet inside the gate off of Sixth Street).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Elaineís name are appreciated to St. Williamís Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Clare Bridge and the staff of Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Milwaukee for their loving care.
