Anna Schunk Gallatin

Anna Schunk Gallatin, 85, of Richland Center, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Pine Valley Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Richland Center. She was born June 12, 1926, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Butschli) Hilmer in Milwaukee.

On April 12, 1947, she married Donald Schunk and he preceded her in death June 15, 1974. Later she married Ralph Gallatin on Sept. 5, 1987, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1995. Anna worked as a waitress at the American Legion in Waukesha for 25 years.

Survivors include her three children, Pamela Hutto of Missouri, Patricia (Ross) Phillips of Dousman and John (Sue) Schunk of Richland Center; eight grandchildren, Dee Ann (Sean) Davidson, Troy Wilkins, Kelly Adair, Brandon (Amanda) Hutto, Joseph (Jeanine) Dable, Angela Rieker, Abbie (Antoine) Ziegler and Abraham (Megan Temps) Schunk; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers, Jack and Joseph Hilmer; three sisters, Betty Farra, Mary Edwards and Teresa Cerbe; and a grandson, Tyrone.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Richland Center with the Rev. Roger J. Scheckel officiating.

Also, a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial Mass on Saturday, March 31, at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 120 Nashotah Road, Nashotah. Burial will be held in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Cemetery.
