Edith M. Schram

Nov. 30, 1933 – March 29, 2012

Edie Schram (nee Kuhlka) was born to eternal life at home on March 29, 2012 after a valiant battle to recover from multiple surgeries.

She was the loving wife of Harvey (Bud) for 58 years. She was the best friend and mother of Ted (Trish Proulx) Schram, David (Kim) Schram, Barbara (Joseph) Giliberto, and Patricia (Wayne) Gustafson. She was the bestest grannie to Kevin Schram, Angela and Davy Giliberto Dawson, Alexa and Brielle Schram. Edie was the dear sister of Margaret (Gretchen) Boettcher and fond sister-in-law of Michael (Jill) Schram. She was the special Grandma Edie to Mandy Proulx, John, Stacey, Brady and Molly Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie (Bach) Makoutz and Gustave Kuhlka; her beautiful daughter, Patty Gustafson; her brother, Robert (Josephine), brother-in-law, Ken Boettcher Sr.; and nephew Kenny Boettcher Jr. She is further survived by her many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Edie retired from International Harvester and afterward worked at Bethesda-Roxo Water and Merry Maids. She was most recently an election official chairperson at the Carroll University polling location. She enjoyed her years of upholstery classes at WCTC and those special friends. She most loved to go to Crivitz and have fun in the sun with her children and friends. She was also an avid sports fan, spending many years of Sunday afternoons cheering and yelling at Land O’ Lakes baseball games Bud played in. She was a faithful fan of the Chicago Cubs, the Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are appreciated. The family is being served by Church and Chapel of Waukesha. Respecting Edie’s last wishes, the family will have a private cremation and will announce a celebration of Edie’s life at a later date.

Church and Chapel Funeral Service is serving the family. For information, online obituary, condolences or directions, visit www.churchandchapel.com.
