May 28, 1910 – April 27, 2012
Mae E. O’Farrell (nee Zeien), beloved wife of the late Thomas J. O’Farrell, passed away Friday, April 27, at the age of 101 years.
Mae leaves five loving children: Mary L. (the late Daniel) Borysewicz, Thomas P. (the late Joan), Richard J. (Jewel), Patricia M. (Antonios) Foukas, and Marguerite A. (Kevin) Nehring. Her extended family includes Carol Jefferies. Mae is cherished by her grandchildren Mary A., Paul B. (Kathleen), and the late Stephen F. Borysewicz; Alyssa (Allen) Ba; Irene O’Farrell (Jason Harink); Savvas (Amanda) and Anastasios Foukas; Miki (Stephanie), Sumi, and the late Kenji Ishikawa. Dearest great-grandchildren will inherit her wisdom and grace: Alexandra, Emily, and Michael Ba; Moses and Eli Harink; Dylan and Tyler Ishikawa; and Evangeline Foukas.
Mae will always be in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, friends, and the many admirers whom she mentored throughout her amazing journey from Illinois to Missouri and her final home in Wisconsin. The family is indebted to the dedicated and loving staff of Oak Hill Terrace of Waukesha. They became part of our family and we joined theirs. Furthermore, the hospice team from VITAS brought comfort to us and dignity to Mae in these final months.
This summer, her ashes will be placed next to those of her husband in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As a memorial, consider planting “Mae” flowers in your favorite place. Perennials would seem appropriate.
