Louise J. Vanderhei (nee Burt)

Feb. 6, 1922 – April 20, 2012

Louise J. Vanderhei (nee Burt) was born to eternal life Friday, April 20, 2012. Louise’s beloved husband, Ervin L. Vanderhei, precious daughter, Tari A. Venne, and dear siblings, Helen, Jeanette and Charles, preceded her in death.

Louise will be deeply missed by her caring son, Robert (Sandra); her dearly loved grandchildren, Kelly (Jay), Wendy (Kenny), Marcia (Jeff), Steve (Juliet) and Monica (Steve); cherished great-grandchildren, Michael (Khusboo), Samantha, Cody, Melissa, Veronica, Jennifer, Sawyer, Taylor, Mathew, Steven Jr., Kathryn, Abby, Evan and Katie; treasured great great-grandchildren, Michealla and Noah; brothers-inlaw, Donald, Douglas, Charles and Thomas (Donna) Vanderhei; sisters-in-law, Susan Kirsch and Karen Shulfer; along with many nieces, nephews, wonderful extended family members and friends.

Louise will be remembered by all as a strong woman who persevered through the absence of her husband as he served in World War II, raising two very small children. Her family will also remember her as patient, nurturing, loving and encouraging, not only to them, but also to all of their friends. She will continue to be best known for teaching her grandchildren and their friends to drive at Louise’s Little Corner, her “No Manner Meals,” her pigs in a blanket and our Santa-house tradition! Louise’s greatest joys were her family and her pets.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors and entire staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their compassion and kind attention to Louise and the family during her illness and passing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated in Louise’s name to her favorite charities.
