Lloyd Edgar Dragert Sr.

Feb. 22, 1943 – May 10, 2012

Lloyd Edgar Dragert Sr. was born Feb. 22, 1943, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the age of 69, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born in Waukesha and grew up in Jefferson. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. On July 3, 1965, he married Bonnie (Reinke) Dragert in Delavan. He resided in Mukwonago for the last 45 years and was a machinist for Waukesha Engine for 37 years before he retired in 2003. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed shooting sporting clays with his best friend, Rollie Hunkins. He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and was known as the family driver of the "Sandpiper" to and from horse shows.

Lloyd will be deeply missed by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie; children, Lloyd Jr. (Beth) and Deb Deuster; grandchildren, Amanda Sawejka (Jason Katzman), Leah Dragert, Lauren Dragert and Morgan Deuster; one brother, Paul (Katie); one sister, Bev Hoskins; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Esther Dragert, and a brother-in-law, Larry Hoskins.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 930 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago, and on Monday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery.

In accordance to Lloyd’s wishes, the family would like everyone to dress casual for the visitation and funeral.
