Wayne E. Holtz of Oconomowoc/Delafield passed away suddenly Thursday, May 10, 2012, at age 91. He was born in the Town of Rome in Adams County to Ervin A. Holtz and Elsa M. (Glander) Holtz.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris, his parents and all of his siblings.
He was the dear father of daughters Dineen (Art Sr. – deceased) Terstage of Cleveland, Ohio, Doreen (Gary) Weber of Oconomowoc and Donna (Robert Sr.) Schenk of Madison; and the fond grandfather of Art Terstage Jr., Anna Terstage-Lozinski, Christopher Weber, Caitlin Weber, Paula Schenk and Jonathan Schenk. He is further survived by his friend, Dottie Mehlos, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Wayne lived and worked in the Lake Country area most of his life. He was a carpenter and craftsman. He was a graduate of St. John’s Military Academy and a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Force.
Family and friends are invited to share memories of Wayne at an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 1, at the Wilkinson Manor Community Room, 919 E. Summit Ave., Oconomowoc.
