Alma Malley (nee Martini)


July 10, 1919 - Nov. 24, 2012



(Alma Malley (nee Martini) of Brookfield was born into eternal life Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the age of 93. She was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio, on July 10, 1919.


She worked at St. Joseph Hospital and Master Lock for many years and spent the last 30-plus years in retirement.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Louis Martini of Milwaukee; her brother, Albert (Matilda) Martini of Milwaukee; her sister, Edith (John) Martini of Urichsville, Ohio; and two nephews, Lawrence (Joan) and Leonard Martini.


Alma is survived by her children, Sandra Graves and Jerry Malley (Cindy); grandchildren, Ann Graves (Patrick Dixon), Robert Graves, Daniel Graves and Liza Malley; and great-grandchild, Rylee Dixon (Graves). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Barbara Mackman (Gary), Mary Rose Martini (Ed Nonnweiler), Jerome Martini (Susan), Dante Martini (Colleen), Tim Martini (Marie) and Gregg Martini.


She was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. For most of her adulthood, she lived close to her brother’s family in Milwaukee. Extended families gathering for many Italian and Slovakian celebrations were so special to Alma’s family.


During the past year, Rent A Daughter has spent time with Alma on a daily basis to help with companionship and assisting at mealtime for Alma at ManorCare. Alma’s children, Sandra and Jerry, want to extend heartfelt thanks to Rent A Daughter, Liz, Lena, Sandy and Amy for their loving care.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, Nov. 29, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield, followed by committal services at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 W. Nash St. All are invited to a reception at the Venice Club Restaurant, 1905 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield.
