Vernon A. Polster, 89, of Waukesha and Bonita Springs, Fla., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. He was born in Neosho on April 19, 1923, to Frieda and Emil Polster.
 

Vernon was a veteran of World War II and will be remembered for his patience and kindness. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren.
 

Vernon is survived by his wife, Joanne; sons, Richard “Rick” (Joyce) and Lee; grandchildren, Brian (Gretchen Stacey) Polster and Kristin (Justin) Becker; great-grandson, Caeden; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Polster; his sister, Lorraine; and his parents.
 

Visitation for Vernon will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Wisconsin Memorial Park in the Chapel of Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield.
 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St. Waukesha, WI 53186.
