Leona Albrecht (nee Lueder)

Leona Albrecht (nee Lueder) of Waukesha passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at Clement Manor on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at the age of 96. Leona was born in Fort Atkinson on Oct. 24, 1915, the daughter of Arnold and Emma (nee Gehrke) Lueder.
She married Clarence “Sam” Albrecht on Aug. 21, 1936. Leona was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha and she was very active in the Waukesha Senior Center. She loved to play cards, especially the game of sheepshead. Leona loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.
Leona will be dearly missed by her children, Carole (Tom) Hoover of Milwaukee, Bonnie (Joanne Nelson) Albrecht of Studio City, Calif., and John (Joann) Albrecht of Reno, Nev.; her grandchildren, Ben and Lydia of Reno, and Tracy Albrecht of Milwaukee; and many other family and friends.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; her daughter, Donna; and her son, David.
In honor of Leona’s wishes, no services will be held.
