Augustine C. ‘Speedy’ Garcia

June 22, 1937 – Oct. 4, 2012 

Augustine C. “Speedy” Garcia of Milwaukee diedThursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. He was born June 22, 1937, in Gonzales, Texas, the son of Albert Sr. and Francesca (nee Cantu) Garcia. 

For many years he had worked at International Harvester, retiring in 1999. On June 28, 1982, he married Beverly (nee Keegan) Garcia in Madison. He was a member and treasurer of AFLCIO/Steelworkers. He loved cars, and in his younger years he always had the coolest cars. 

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Beverly of Milwaukee, along with their daughter Franki Garcia of Milwaukee. He was the dear grandfather of Gabriella Garcia. He is further survived by his brother, Adolph Garcia Sr. of Waukesha; sisters-in-law, Sandra Hollis and Patricia Keegan of Madison, Connie Garcia of Waukesha, and Nena and Eva Garcia of Texas; special friends, Ernie and Pam Rockwell of Madison; and nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Aurora, Abel, Alfredo, Amelie, Albert Jr., Anselmo, Antonio, Armando and Alvardo. 

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Froedtert Hospital for all their wonderful care of Augustine. 

Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. until the 8 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family to set up an educational fund for Gabi.
