Darwin D. Meissner, a lifelong resident of Hartland, was
born to eternal life Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at the age of 92. Darwin was
born Oct. 25, 1919, the son of William and Ida
(nee Manke) Meissner.
On
April 7, 1945, Darwin married the love of his life, Alice Lees. He was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Merton and formerly of Calvary
Baptist Church, Menomonee Falls, and Lisbon United Presbyterian Church,

life’s joy was working the dairy farm that his father before him –
and his son after him – worked. He was born and died in the same
bedroom of the farmhouse his father built in 1906. He was content in
quietly, humbly and faithfully serving his family and his Lord.
