Sally Ann Byrne

 

April 1, 1931 - Oct. 8, 2012

 

 

Sally Ann Byrne, a lifelong Waukesha resident, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. She was born in Waukesha on April 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Herman and Muriel (nee Menick) Yopps. 

 

Sally was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

 

She will be sadly missed by her children, Peggy (Todd) Zweifel of Waukesha, Bridget (Nick) Calvano of Waukesha and Peter (Laura) Byrne of Waukesha. She was the dear grandmother of Dominic and Britty Calvano and Abbi Byrne, all of Waukesha. She is further survived by a sister, Lois Seidl of Butler; her sister-in-law, Margaret Farner of New Berlin; her brother-in-law, James Byrne of Waukesha; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, on Aug. 20, 2003, and by three sisters, Eleanor Ramstack, Elizabeth Byrne and Evelyn Krahn. 

 

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff of Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their care of Sally over the last four weeks.

 

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Father Bill Key will preside. Graveside services will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
