Kenneth S. “Ken” Meidenbauer, a lifelong Waukesha County resident, was born to eternal life Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Seasons Hospice with his family by his side at the age of 94. He was born in Waukesha on Nov. 1, 1917, the son of Sabel and Mary (nee McHalsky) Meidenbauer.

He attended Little Grove Elementary School in New Berlin and the vocational school in Waukesha. On Jan. 17, 1948, he married the former Thelma Pluess at First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. Following his retirement, he established a business moving cars for local car dealerships and enjoyed the time he spent with his drivers. Along with his wife, he loved to travel, especially by car. He was a longtime and faithful member of First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Waukesha Motorcycle Club.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Thelma of Waukesha; their daughter, Lori (Louis) Boehmke of Waukesha; and his two grandsons, Brandon and Eric Boehmke, also of Waukesha. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Bernice Heeren and Florence Berg.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Seasons Hospice, Waukesha Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Martin Kern for the care they provided to Ken.
