May 31, 1995 - Oct. 13, 2012
Joseph K. “Joey” Vaichinger of Waukesha, after a lifelong battle with cancer, died peacefully with his family at his side at Children’s Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the age of 17. Joey was born May 31, 1995, the son of Kenneth and Debra (nee Bohrer) Vaichinger.
He was a junior at Waukesha North High School. Joey enjoyed playing volleyball as a freshman and was a “huge” Brewers fan. Joey will be sadly missed by his loving parents; siblings, Anthony “Tony,” William “Billy” and Thomas “Tommy” Vaichinger; and his grandparents, Walter Bohrer, Estelle Vaichinger and Kenneth (June) Vaichinger. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends. Joey is the proud godfather of Annabelle Grace Saddy.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Ann Bohrer.
Visitation for Joey will be held from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, Oct. 18, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Interment will be private at Rural Home Cemetery in Big Bend.
