Luella M. Bowey

Luella M. Bowey, 97, of Eagle, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waukesha.
Luella was born June 28, 1915, in North Dakota, the daughter of the late Herbert and Nellie 'Mabel' Sockett. Luella was a city girl who turned farmer's wife on June 12, 1948, when she married Austin Bowey. They resided in the Eagle area, where they farmed their entire lives. Luella was also a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church, where she was very active.
She was the cherished mother of Randy (Cindy) Bowey of Dousman and Gail (Daryl Fosberg) Benjamin of Dousman; beloved grandmother of Erick Benjamin and Jacquelyn (Cecil) Mack; great-grandmother of Cecillia Mack; and dear sister of Mark (Betty) Bloomier. Luella is further survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
Luella was preceded in death by her husband, Austin, in 1999, and grandchildren Christine and Randall Bowey.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 103 W. Eagle St., Eagle. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 22, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Duane Goetsch officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Eagle.
