Kevin James Tormey

Kevin James Tormey, 59, peacefully passed away at his home Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. He was born in San Francisco on Nov. 4, 1952, grew up in Madison and graduated from LaFollette High School in 1971. On Sept. 3, 1988, he married Kay (Babcock) Tormey in McFarland.

 

Kevin was employed by Country Kitchen International as a director of purchasing. He loved reading, music, golfing, bowling, traveling, spending time with his grandsons and was a good friend of Bill W. 

 

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Ruth Tormey of Madison; his wife, Kay Tormey of Waukesha; his three children, Tara (Jay) Van Loenen of Overland Park, Kan., Dan (Amy Johnson) Tormey of Beloit and Patrick (Jennifer) Tormey of Janesville; five grandsons, Danny and Jake Brown, Chase and Jackson Tormey, and Cameron Van Loenen; and five siblings, Jeff (Jean) Tormey, Mark (Carol) Tormey, Perry (Marilyn) Tormey, Gail (Dean) Maly and Brian Tormey.

 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, with a memorial service at 5 p.m.
