Robert ‘Bob’ Paul Maile

Nov. 1, 1925 - Sept. 12, 2012

Robert “Bob” Paul Maile passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at LindenGrove in Waukesha. He was almost 87 years old. He was born in Waukesha on Nov. 1, 1925, the son of Clarence and Anna (nee Mueller) Maile.

Some may remember him as the original owner of Bob’s Glass Service, first on Main Street and located now on West St. Paul Avenue, for many years. When Bob sold the business, he and his wife, Eleanora, moved to Arizona to retire. Earlier in his life he was in the Marines, spending time in the Pacific on an island called Pelau during World War II.

His wife passed away in 1998 and in 1999 he returned to Wisconsin to be closer to family.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Haack; his sister, Marion Hinze; a brother, John Maile; as well as by other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanora; brother, Edward; and his parents, Clarence and Anna Maile.

The family wishes to thank LindenGrove and Seasons Hospice for all their kind help and special care.

There will be a gathering to honor Bob’s life from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service today, Sept. 18, at the Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha. Interment will follow the service.
