Muriel M. Peterson (nee Komar)

Nov. 2, 1937 - Sept. 20, 2012

Muriel M. Peterson (nee Komar) of Waukesha went home to heaven unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ and be reunited with her beloved husband, Bob - “inseparable in life and death.”

She was born Nov. 2, 1937, the daughter of Louis and Sophie Komar. She married the love of her life, Robert H. “Bob” Peterson, on April 15, 1961. Muriel was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. She had a gifted voice which she shared by singing in the choir at church. Muriel enjoyed sewing and dancing and being a member of the Red Hatters. Most of all, Muriel loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She was a very generous person to all.

Muriel is survived by her loving sons, Dean (Denise) Peterson of Watertown and Keith (Kristin) Peterson of Lakeville, Minn., and her daughters, Michele (Thomas) Adyniec of Waukesha and Colette (Robert) Kowalik of Brookfield. She will also be remembered by her 10 grandchildren, Gregory, Mariah, Noah, Bryan, Samuel, Leidy, Emma, Dominic, Luca and Tate. Muriel is further survived by a sister-in-law, Patricia Komar of Milwaukee, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; and a brother, Richard Komar.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road, Waukesha. The Rev. David Zandt will be officiating. Entombment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Prairie Home Cemetery (meet inside gates) in Waukesha.
