Lois M. Jamieson (nee Frank) of West Bend passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 76. Lois was born Oct. 22, 1935, to Lester and Helen (nee Halladay) Frank in Waukesha, where she was raised and lived most of her entire life.
On Oct. 24, 1953, she married Allen J. Jamieson in Waukesha. The couple began their family, and Lois became very involved with her church, St. Luke’s Lutheran, in Waukesha. She had a very sociable personality - always giving of herself, time and talents. She loved baking, knitting, quilting and cooking, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Lois was active in her churches, including St. Luke’s in Waukesha and St. Luke in Slinger and at the Cedar Community, where the couple moved to in 2010.
Lois is survived by her husband, Allen; children, Karen (the Rev. Keith) Kolstad and Keith (Kris) Jamieson; grandchildren, Christopher and Colin Jamieson, and Jacob and Jacqueline Kolstad; sister, Beatrice Papke; cousin, Ken Kochsiek; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Donald) Le Beau; and brother-in-law, Glenn Jamieson. She is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Roy Papke; sister-in-law, Shirley Jamieson; aunt, Gertrude Kochsiek; niece, Gail Papke; and nephew, Gary Papke.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 21, at Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend. Visitation continues from 8 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 22, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4860 Arthur Road, Slinger, with the Rev. Matthew Short presiding. Interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Partners in Caring at Cedar Community or the St. Luke Lutheran Church (Slinger) Building Fund.
