Mildred
M. Ulrich, 94, of Pewaukee, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Riverhills
West Healthcare Center in Pewaukee.
Mildred
was born Aug. 23, 1918, the daughter of the late Daniel and Amanda Hughes.
She married Paul Ulrich in Iowa at the Little Brown Church in the Vale.
Following their marriage, they resided in Palmyra where they owned the
D& M truck stop, now known as the Edge of Town Restaurant. She was a
past member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Palmyra and a member of the
Red Hats at Riverhills West. Mildred’s great joy was spending time with
her family. She also enjoyed travelling, crocheting, playing cribbage and
card games.
She
was the beloved mother of Patricia (Edward) Kohler of Eagle River, Kenneth
(Suzanne) of Waukesha and Charles (Karen) of Bancroft; and dearest
grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren and four
great-great grandchildren. Mildred was loved and will be remembered by
other relatives and friends.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; a son, James; a daughter,
Mary, and son-inlaw, Edward Wojtkunski; a grandson, Edward; and a
granddaughter, Tammy.
Visitation
will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Tuesday, Sept.
25, at Haase Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St.,
Palmyra, with the Rev. Karen Klatt officiating.
