Marion Jean Fryk was born April 9, 1927, in Oak Park, to James Raymond and Florence (nee Farmer) Marshall. She died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at her home in Mount Prospect, Ill.

Jean is survived by her loving husband, Carl Lauren Fryk, whom she married June 14, 1947, in Chicago. She is the beloved mother of Jim (late Joanne) Fryk and Barbara McMahon; cherished grandmother of Jill (Jason) Cummings, Julia (Brad) Wichman, Adam and Zachary McMahon; and adored great-grandmother of Catriona, Thomas, Alex, Nicole and Ryan.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment will be at Glen Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
