Patricia S. Hoffman (nee Smith)

 

March 14, 1931 - March 30, 2013

 

 

Patricia S. Hoffman (nee Smith) was born March 14, 1931, in Milwaukee, and passed away at her residence Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the age of 82.

 

She graduated from North Division High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in social studies and English at the University of Wisconsin. Her primary career was in education. She taught middle school English and social studies at several schools, including Slinger Middle School. After earning her masterís degree in education, she became the principal of Slinger Middle School. Later, she became the supervisor for English, social studies and related fields for the West Allis-West Milwaukee Public School District.

 

Pat was also very supportive of her husband Haroldís dream of designing and building a golf course, Songbird Hills Golf Club. She took charge of the business side of the course, both during its development and during the 20 years it has been in business.

 

She was a very generous, kind and gracious woman, who often helped her family and friends. She valued education and helped a number of people to further their education. Her thoughts were always of making life better and happier for other people.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold E. Hoffman; her daughter, Tammara Hoffman Wolfgram; her granddaughters, Jennifer Wolfgram, Gwendolyn (Scott) Tracy and Megan Wolfgram; and her great-grandchildren, Breanna Jambretz, Brian Jambretz Jr., Kieran Tracy and Arianna Tracy. She is further survived by her sisters, Coralee Kern, Norma Bucan, Sandra Rose, Barbara Alcantar; her brother, Howard Smith (Mary); and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family and friends.

 

Services are from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today, April 3, at the Lake Country Unitarian Universalist Church, W299-N5595 Grace Drive, Hartland. There will be refreshments following the service.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy.
