Patricia A. ‘Pat’ Bennett
Patricia A. “Pat” Bennett, 61, passed away at home at 11:11 a.m. Saturday morning, March 30, 2013, of pancreatic cancer. At her side was her loving husband, Greg, of 32 years; son Ian; and daughter-in-law Renee.
Pat was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earning a master’s degree in sociology. She was an accomplished real estate agent, gardener, a true animal lover and volunteer worker for the Wildlife In Need Center.
She will be welcomed into heaven by her son Ryan and parents, John and Mildred Grace (nee Krause) Vavra.
She is further survived by her brother, John “Jack” Vavra and family; sisters-in-law, Lynn Bennett and Jan (Jeff) Parkinson; brother-in-law, Mark and Chris Bennett, along with their families. Lastly, she will be so sadly missed by her five kitties, Bobcat, Arte, Bing, Doobie and Simon.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, with a memorial service following at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 36821 Sunset Drive (Highway 18) Dousman. A private burial will be held Saturday, April 6.
