Merl Dayle George

Merl Dayle George, a longtime Waukesha resident, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 86. He was born in Billings, Mont., on Jan. 22, 1927, the son of Harry P. and Verna (nee Sutherland) George.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
On March 15, 1947, he married Margaret Joos at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 66 years, Margaret George of Waukesha; their children, Linda George of Waukesha, Georgia (Mark) McCormack of Hartland and Merl (Jodi) George II of Waukesha; his seven grandchildren, Michelle (Jim), Bobbi (Jason), Krissy (Greg), Travis, Clinton, JoAnn (Peter) and Lauren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 12:45 p.m. funeral service Monday, April 8, at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
