Jessie June Price (nee Bunell)

June 9, 1925 - April 15, 2013

June “Junebug” Price of Milwaukee, formerly of Waukesha, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at her home at the Lutheran Manor at the age of 87.  She was born to Charles and Otillia Bunell on June 9, 1925, in Richland Center.

She raised six children with her husband of 27 years, William Price (Bill), and later retired from We Energies after 20 years of service. As a charter member of HEED (Help Educate Emotionally Disturbed), June helped create a special education program for children whose needs were not being served in the Waukesha School District. June was active in her community as a Girl Scout leader for 10 years, a YWCA “Peanut Lady” and longtime member of St. Andrew Church, where she coordinated the prison ministries.

She leaves behind her loving children, Linda Brethauer (David), Patrick, Susan Price-Serio (Thomas), Timothy (Kathleen), Elizabeth (Gerald Weber) and Nancy; grandchildren, William, Rebecca and Bethany; and many caring friends and relatives.  All who knew her will miss her friendship and loving guidance.

June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; her brother, Charles; and sisters, Dolores, Carolyn and Elizabeth.

June accepted people as they were and always said that if you see a place where you can do some good, then do it.
