April 22, 1956 – Aug. 4, 2013

Katherine A. “Kathy” Boritzke (nee Britz), 57, of Oconomowoc, soared into the arms of waiting angels Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, after a prolonged illness with breast cancer.

Kathy was born April 22, 1956, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Barbara and Donald Britz. She attended Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. She was a longtime employee of Boston Store before becoming an accomplished decorative painter and muralist. She was on the committee of the Oconomowoc Festival of Arts for several years. She enjoyed gardening with her mother, sewing, painting beautiful flowers and scenery, but most importantly, being a loving role model for her cherished children, Sarah and Lauren.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Bill; daughters, Sarah and Lauren; and mother, Barbara Britz. She is the dear sister of Mike (Jessie), Dan (Karrell), Marty, Jody and Nick Britz, Anna (Chris) Lauten and Lawrence (Sandy) Britz. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Don, and infant daughter, Lindsey.

The family would like to send their sincere appreciation to Dr. Sanchez and his caring staff at Aurora Advanced Health Care, as well as the superior nursing staff on the oncology floor at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service Friday, Aug. 9, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts would be appreciated.
