Charles ‘Chuck’ R. Zillmer
March 30, 1947 – Aug. 4, 2013
Richard Zillmer of Pewaukee passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Seasons
Hospice in Waukesha. He was born March 30, 1947, in Waukesha, the son of
Howard R. and Lillian A. (Hartling) Zillmer.
Chuck is survived by his daughters, Coriayn (Hans) Juech of Oconomowoc
and Monique Parish of Springdale, Utah; a son, Michael of Hartland;
sisters, Alice (Norm) Schultz of Waukesha and Virginia (Robert)
Jovanovich of Pewaukee; stepmother, Inez Zillmer; stepsisters, Judy
(Erwin) Bertram and Janet (Charles) Betker, both of Waukesha; and
grandchildren, John and Michaela Tetzlaff and Samantha and Alyssa
Zillmer. Also he is survived by his special friends, Mary and Patrick
Mischker, Beckham (his special Golden Retriever) and Kevin Yonke, all of
Pewaukee, and other relatives and friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Palmer and his caring staff,
everyone at the Heart Failure Clinic at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and
Cardiac Connections home hospice for their compassionate care.
Chuck graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1965 and attended the
Milwaukee School of Engineering. He worked in the electrical industry
before opening his own business, Associated Controls Inc. He loved
racing and competed at the Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove in his
younger years, along with entering his 1970 Buick GSX in car shows.
Chuck loved going to NASCAR races all over the country, his favorite
racer being Dale Earnhardt. He was also a big Green Bay Packers fan.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon memorial service
Saturday, Aug. 24, at Yonke and Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Ave.,
Pewaukee. The Rev. Robert Ullman will officiate.
