WAUKESHA/SUN PRAIRIE

Evelyn R. Krause

Nov. 11, 1922 – Aug. 25, 2013

Evelyn R Krause passed away peacefully on August 25, 2013 at the Ridges, in Lodi.

She was born Nov. 11, 1922 in Palmyra. After graduating from high school and working at the local soda fountain, she met the love of her life, Kenneth L Krause, who was delivering ice cream from his father’s ice cream plant in Waukesha, to the soda fountain where she worked. They were married in January of 1944, while he was an officer in the Marine Corps.

Most of their married life was spent in Waukesha, after Ken was discharged from the Marines. She devoted their 56 years together being the best wife, mother, and homemaker she could possibly be. Evie was a 50 year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter AQ, Waukesha, and loved making arts and crafts projects for her friends and family.

Evie was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ruth Redding; her siblings Donald and Gordon Redding and Phyllis Mack; her husband, Ken; their first child, Ronald Gordon; and her first grandchild, Shannon Terrell Pollock.

Survivors include two children: Karen (Jim) Graham and Randy (Nancy Peerenboom) Krause; four grandchildren: Laurie (Eric) Krebbs, Russell (Irina) Terrell, Brooke (Albaro Lopez) Krause, and Andrew Krause; three great-grandchildren: Kyle Bakanovic, Ellie and Noah Terrell.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Ridges and the entire Agrace HospiceCare team that has made Evie’s last few months peaceful and pain-free. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, or the charity of your choice.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral & Cremation, Sun Prairie, is serving the family. For more information, call 608-837-5400 or visit www.newcomerfh.com
