DEPOT/ST. LOUIS. MO.
Dianne K. Lamb
July 27, 1946 – Aug. 19, 2013
Dianne Kathleen Lamb, 67, formerly of Genesee Depot, died peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 19, at the home of her eldest daughter in St. Louis, Mo.
Dianne was born July 27, 1946 in Eau Claire to Robert (Bob) and Betty (Hensen) Lamb.
She grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from North High School in 1964.
She had a huge heart, a beautiful smile, and great sense of humor. Dianne enjoyed extensive travels and attending concerts with her family. Other interests included her lifelong love of horses and watching and cheering on her favorite football team the Packers (of course) and NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon.
Dianne struggled for the past several years with numerous health issues and never once a word of complaint. As her family, our peace comes knowing her place is now with God and those who have gone before her.
She was welcomed “home” by both her parents and infant brother Dennis, who preceded her in death.
Dianne is survived by her son, David (Annette) Truslow of Eau Claire; and three daughters: Melissa Graber of St. Louis, Mo., Lara Truslow of Eau Claire, and Erika (Dan) Strelecki of Genesee Depot; four siblings: Dave (Linda) Lamb of Eau Claire, Darryl (Carolyn) Lamb of Woodstock, Ga., Debbie (Bob) Ziegler of Mankato, Minn., and Dawn (Kevin) Midthun of Eau Claire.
Dianne has five grandchildren, Morgan, Haylie, Cole, Bryna, and Davina, along with nine nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Dianne’s life will be held Sunday, Sept. 1 at VFW Post 305 (Starr Avenue) at 1:00 p.m.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away and although we love you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
