Elsie CeCelia Buss

Elsie CeCelia Buss (nee Oman), 105, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Marquardt Memorial Manor Health Care Center in Watertown. Elsie was born of Finnish descent on July 30, 1908, in Ashland, the daughter of John and Anna (nee Jacobson) Oman.
Elsie was a dedicated wife and mother and was adored by her loving family. Elsie lived for 40 years in the city of Oconomowoc and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman Buss; a daughter, Beverly Harding; a son, Herman Buss Jr.; and by siblings Esther, Alma, Elvie and Vernor.
Elsie is lovingly survived by two sons, Ronald Buss and Richard Buss Sr., and two by daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Miller and Karen (Richard) Rose. Elsie is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Marquardt Memorial Chapel, 1020 Hill St., Watertown, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Wauwatosa.
Elsie enjoyed every one of her 105 years. She had a spirit of joy in her being, a bright light that made her a delight to be with. Elsie was adored by family and friends and by everyone she met, especially the staff and residents at Marquardt Manor. Her twinkling blue eyes and sweet smile will be deeply missed. She will be looking down on all of us and will be happy at the legacy she created.
