Doris Marie Winberg (nee Anderson), 87, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, with her family by her side. Doris is survived by her daughter, Linda (Ron) Rupnow; son, Keith (Diane) Winberg; grandchildren, Kyle (Erika) Rupnow, Eric (Kara) Rupnow, Kirsten (David) Andreson and Stephanie Winberg; and great-grandchildren, Mason Rupnow, Parker and Sophia Rupnow and Abner Andreson. She is also survived by her sisterin- law, Norma Mandelkow, along with many other relatives and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Marland, of 49 years; parents, Oscar and Josephine Anderson; a brother, Robert Anderson; and two sisters, Bernice Hafslund and Evelyn Olson.
Doris was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Oscar and Josephine Anderson. After she married Marland, they lived on the family farm in Bay City, and later moved to the Oconomowoc area. Doris retired from Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Doris enjoyed sewing, quilting, cards, dancing and most of all, spending time with her family and friends in Florida and Wisconsin.
A celebration of Dorisí life will be held at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Dorisí name can be made to AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
