HARTLAND

Anna May Miglautsch

March 29, 1930 – Dec. 12, 2013

Anna May Miglautsch of Hartland went to her eternal rest Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013. She was born March 29, 1930, in Waukesha, to Frank and Frances Boehmke, one of seven children.

She graduated from Waukesha High School.

Being gifted with a lovely soprano voice, she studied at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, beginning a lifelong love of music. She met Frank (Bud) Miglautsch at the Newman Club of St. Joseph’s Parish and they married in 1954.

She was a devoted mother to their three children, John Miglautsch (Susan), Mary Englund (Joseph) and Ted Miglautsch (Zhanna).

Bud and Anna enjoyed extensive travels, many of them with a travel trailer in tow, and split their “emptynest” years between Beaver Lake in Hartland and Bonita Beach, Fla. In both locations, Anna May was a faithful member of her church choir and other singing ensembles, including the Waukesha Chorale, the Bonita Springs Chorus, and most recently the WCTC Learning in Retirement Choir. She was an avid fan of the Brewers, Packers and the Marquette basketball team, through good seasons and bad.

Anna was preceded in death by Bud, her loving husband of 46 years; her parents; and a sibling, James Boehmke.

She is survived by five siblings, Mary Wilkie, David Boehmke, Richard Boehmke, Susan Kocher and Barbara Dunn. She was an instructive and attentive grandmother to her nine grandchildren, Katie, Lauren, Kendall, Megan, Matthew, Jacqueline, Valeriya, Anzhelika and baby Elizabeth.

She was generous with her time and had a zest for life that will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Visitation and the funeral Mass were Tuesday, Dec. 17, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in Anna May’s name to St. Charles Parish.
