Luella A. I. Wolter, 100, of Hustisford, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 13, 2013, at her home.

Luella Anna Irene Budewitz was born Jan. 12, 1913, in Lebanon, daughter of Oscar and Alma (Braunschweig) Budewitz. On Dec. 5, 1931, she married Arthur G. Wolter at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon.

She was a great homemaker and great cook, and enjoyed going for rides, playing cards and dominoes.

Luella had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford.

Survivors include her 13 children, Robert (Mary) of Watertown, Harvey (Helen) of Juneau, Thomas (Marvalene) of Neosho, Franklin (Karen) of Ashippun, Betty (Merlin) Schwartz of Watertown, Shirley Koeppel of Watertown, John (Debra) of Juneau, Delores Raether of Watertown, Ronald of Jefferson, Bernard (Pat) of Neosho, Gerald of Hustisford, Sally (Dan) Cronin of Arizona and Charles (Judy) of Hustisford; a daughter in-law, Bonnie of Neosho; 54 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; 15 step-great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother, Delores Schultz of Oconomowoc, Mabel Surdick of Watertown and Howard (Shirley) Budewitz of Lebanon; a sister-in-law, Malinda Schure of Oconomowoc; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur, on Jan. 5, 2009; a son, Donald Wolter; a grandchild; three greatgrandchildren; a brother, Herbert; five sisters, Leona Fredrick, Adeline Kuehl, Marcella Budewitz, Norma Rantzow and Blondina Budewitz; two infant brothers; and a son-in-law, Roger Koeppel.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford with the Rev. Timothy Bauer and the Rev. Wade Johnston officiating.

Burial will be in the Hustisford Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the church or to Pro-Health Hospice.
